Trust Experience:
Since 1981 advising resident clientele on the creation of settlements, inter vivos and by Will; advising on the construction of Trust documents; advising offshore clients on the form of Trust instrument as a financial planning or tax mitigation vehicle; liaising with offshore tax counsel in the establishment of discretionary Trust instruments; extensive experience in litigation at the Supreme Court and Appellate levels involving the construction of Trust instruments; applications under the Variation of Trusts Act, Chapter 166 Statute Laws of the Bahamas; actions against Trustees for breach of Trust, fraud on Trust powers, negligence in the administration of offshore family settlements; experience also extends to providing expert evidence for foreign litigation where Trust documents governed by Bahamian law as the proper law.

Banking and Commercial Experience:
Advising clientele in connection with the establishment and operation of off shore banks and other financial institutions; advising and structuring security documentation in international financing transactions; extensive banking litigation with multi-jurisdictional foci involving particular bank secrecy and Confidentiality issues; the provision of expert evidence in commercial and corporate litigation in the courts of New York, Florida in the United States, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the United Kingdom and the Cayman Islands

Professional and Negligence Experience:
Since 1978, exclusive counsel in the Bahamas for Medical Protection Society and Medical Defence Union, medico-legal insurers to 80% of the medical and dental practitioners in the Bahamas.
Routine defence work for lawyers and other professionals subject to professional liability claims.

Shipping and Admiralty:
Extensive admiralty practice in personam and in rem actions;
Litigation on priority issues;
Limitation cargo and marine insurance claims; provision of expert evidence on the Merchant Shipping Act and Bahamian Admiralty Law and practice generally
