Malins Chambers is committed to Equality and Diversity.
We treat everyone equally and fairly without any discrimination, direct or indirect, on the grounds of race, colour, ethnic or national origin, nationality, citizenship, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, age, religion, belief including political persuasion.
We are located in Temple Chambers, which has facilities for disabled access. We will make reasonable adjustments, where requested, to assist anyone with a disability to access our services.
Our Equality and Diversity Officer, Julian Malins Q.C., monitors and reports on our progress in relation to Equality and Diversity.
Summary
Rule rC110.3.q-t of the Code of Conduct contained in the BSB Handbook requires Chambers to publish a summary of its diversity data monitoring exercise, carried out every three years. Questionnaires were sent out to members who practise in the jurisdiction of England and Wales. Responses were collated, analysed and anonymised for reporting, in July 2020.
The Code of Conduct prohibits the publication of data on sexual orientation and religious belief unless consent is received from each member of the workforce. We failed to receive 100% consent, and therefore no data is published in this report on those characteristics.
